East Academy teaches 2 different styles of martial
arts. One is a traditional Kung
fu Lau Gar style and the other is a Kickboxing
style called Freestyle

Type of Training is Involved?
Fitness
The student is thoroughly warmed up before commencing
any technique thus preventing pulled muscles etc.
Various exercises are used for full body conditioning.
This will also improve the student's stamina, strength
and total awareness.
Flexibility
A considerable amount of time is spent on stretching
muscles of the body to enable the student to perform
the dynamic movements safely and effectively.
Techniques
Equipment such as focus mitts are regularly used
for kick and punch practice. The student is taught
from the basic through to advanced techniques at
a suitable speed.
The training program will help enhance hand / eye
co-ordination as well as muscular strength and endurance.
